Veteran Erica Greene Wins Planet Ford F-150

Congratulations are in order for a very special American veteran.  Chuck Kramer, General Manager/Operating Partner of  Randall Reed’s Planet Ford in Humble family (serving the Houston area) presented Ms. Greene with the Planet Ford’s Spring Texas Music Fest Ford F-150.

In July, the U.S. Army Veteran, along with two other deserving veterans, were named as winners of Planet’s Vehicles for Veterans doing the event by Vincent Wilfork, of the Houston Texans.

Jack Goodroe, U.S. Marine Corp Veteran, was awarded an all-expense paid cruise for two.  Andy Toppin, U.S. Army and Military Police Veteran, was awarded $1,000. All three were also presented with a commemorative, custom created Spring Texas  Music Fest guitar.

The finalists were selected from the many nominations sent in by community members who know a wounded warrior in need of a vehicle. “There was such an outpouring,” said Randall Reed, Owner/CEO of Planet Ford and World Class Automotive.

“Reading all of the essays and looking through the pictures, it was easy to see all of the heroes on our community and very hard for the committee to choose,” he added.

Mr. Wilfork, the celebrity guest announcer, is one of the premier defensive tackles. He was named both to the Pro Bowl and the All-Pro team in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012. He has a great passion for helping others and does so through the Vincent Wilfork Foundation, whose overall purpose is to be source of support for any and all non-profit organizations, including supporting our military and veterans.

Planet Ford supports the same ideals and was happy to have Mr. Wilfork as part of this huge community event.  “The Reed and Planet Ford families are thrilled to be able to help our veterans in need,” said Mr. Reed. “We appreciate so many coming together, including Mr. Wilfork to help support these wonderful community events.”

Planet Ford’s Spring Texas Music Fest Ford F-150 took place at the Barback Bar & Icehouse located at 19940 Kuyendahl in Spring, TX. The festival featured an incredible line up including: Jason Cassidy, Charlie Robison, Scooter Brown Band, Rick Trevino, Jody Booth, Jon Wolfe, Josh Ward, Jerrett Zoch & OSR, and Jackson Taylor and the Sinners.

The Spring Music Fest benefitted helps a veteran organization that works to to restore and renew hope for our wounded service members and their families through financial support.
