Planet Ford Takes Part in 10th Annual “In the Pink of Health” Charity Luncheon

Randall Reed’s Planet Ford in Humble (serving great Houston, Kingwood, Atascocita, Conroe) enjoyed being part of and was proud 10th Annual “In the Pink of Health” luncheon benefiting Northeast Hospital Foundation and Project Mammogram.

Planet Ford was a “hot pink” sponsor of the “In The Pink of Health” luncheon, held on Oct. 21st.  It is the primary fundraiser for the Northeast Hospital Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. The net proceeds made from the luncheon benefit the foundation programs and Memorial Hermann Northeast’s cancer programs. This year those proceeds will benefit Project Mammogram, which is a program that provides free mammograms and diagnostic breast care services for qualifying individuals.

Every October, Planet Ford in Humble looks for charities to support that help bring awareness to and support breast cancer programs and research. Project Mammogram has been providing women who are uninsured or have high deductibles that live in our community. The project not only offers free mammogram services, they provide some follow-up treatment services, such as ultrasounds, to those in need. It has helped hundreds of women each year and at no charge to those in need of the assistance.

Drive One 4UR Community: Lend HAAM a Helping Hand

You’re invited for some community FUNdraising that is free to be part of, quick, easy and will help a lot of your neighbors. Join Randall Reed’s Planet Ford in Humble (serving Kingwood, Atascocita and Houston), Thursday, Oct. 12th, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Humble First Assembly of God Church.

Humble-area community members are invited to test drive a new Ford car, truck or SUV for a great cause.  For every test drive, you will trigger a donation to Humble Area Assistance Ministries (HAAM). The organization helps community residents in crisis by providing essential resources to those in need, especially after Hurricane Harvey, and help people move towards self sufficiency.

Each test drive only takes 10-15 minutes. It’s fun, easy and for every completed drive, Ford Motor Co. will provide a $20 donation to help fund important items benefiting those in our community in need. We will have a variety of vehicles to choose from: Ford Mustang, Ford F-150, Ford Fusion, Ford Focus and more! Our goal is to get 300 drivers and raise $6,000 from Ford.

New Ford F-450 Limited delivers technology and comfort previously reserved only in premium flagship sedans with the capability to tow more than 30,000 lbs.

Randall Reed’s Planet Ford in Humble, Texas is excited to see what’s new from Ford Motor Company – America’s truck leader. The American automaker has unveiled the new F-Series Super Duty Limited. It sets new luxury standards for high-end heavy-duty truck drivers.

With a price tag of $87,100, the Ford F-450 Limited delivers on all fronts, including technology and comfort previously reserved only in premium flagship sedans, and it’s capable enough to tow more than 30,000 lbs. – about the weight of a stealthy Air Force F-35 fighter plane.

“The Super Duty lineup is a win for all of our customers, from successful ranchers to contractors to RV owners” said Todd Eckert, Ford Truck group marketing manager. “Super Duty Limited is the most luxurious and advanced heavy-duty pickup truck ever created by Ford for accomplished buyers with appetites for the high life and hard-earned dollars to match”

The starting MSRPs (including $1,295 destination; taxes and fees not included) are:

  • F-250 Super Duty Limited 4×4                      $80,835
  • F-350 Super Duty Limited 4×4                      $82,010
  • F-450 Super Duty Limited 4×4                      $87,100

Customers who check every option box can top one out for as much as $94,455.

What’s the point?

“There are heavy-duty truck customers who need Super Duty-level capability and want true luxury,” Eckert said. “We created this new truck to answer the call for even more premium choices in the Super Duty range as we see more and more truck customers trending to more premium models.”

More than 50 percent of the Super Duty lineup’s retail sales this year are high-end models – including Lariat, King Ranch and Platinum series. Limited goes even further.

Each month, Randall Reed’s Planet Ford team come together to celebrate special milestones, including birthdays and anniversaries.  This month was very special. We celebrated the 50th anniversary of David Curtis.

For five decades Mr. Curtis has been serving the automotive needs of our community. He has a passion not only for automobiles but for people. That is why he was also named Employee of the Month.  He shows how much he cares in the effort he puts forth every single day, and we are thankful for his hard work.
